Lynn: 15 Years with Sabre Yachts

Lynn began her journey at Sabre a little over fifteen years ago as the front desk receptionist. Today she is our National Sales Manager, and she keeps the ball rolling on all five Sabre Yachts models. In addition to her sales responsibilities, Lynn is also directly involved in the specifications process for each Sabre yacht, is a dynamic presence at boat shows across the country, and the list is just getting started. In celebration of her 15 years of hard work, talent, and dedication, Lynn agreed to answer a few of our questions…

What super power would you like to have?

The power to take pain away. My mother has suffered from back pain for years. It is difficult for her, and difficult to watch.

What’s your favorite song of all time?

Anything Billy Joel, followed closely by Cheap Trick’s “I Want You to Want Me.”

What’s your favorite dessert?

Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting

Tell me about something that was difficult, but made you a better person?

Accepting this position as the National Sales Manager of Sabre Yachts.

If you could send a message back through time your younger self what would you say?

You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.

If you could do one thing differently in your life what would it be?

I would join every group I could in school, just to see if I liked it. I would swing for the home run and not care if anybody was watching. I was not outgoing and I would change that.

Name one thing that always makes you smile, no matter what:

Belly laughs from a baby

Who at this company has done something that impresses you? What was it?

It’s not one person but the collective that impresses me. As a group we do amazing things.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

My mothers house on Christmas Eve with my entire family there. We are noisy and busy and fun. I wouldn’t change a thing about it.

What’s your favorite book and why?

The Bible. I learn something new every time I read it.

What would you most like to learn?

Sign language, but I would need someone to learn it with me so we could talk.

Tell me about one real life person who is your hero:

Jesus Christ.

What is your dream car?

Aston Martin DBS Coupe

If you won a million dollars what would you spend it on?

I would build a YMCA in Presque Isle, ME. I have friends there and they don’t have an affordable place to work out.

What are you most proud of?

My family, my kids – they are amazing people.

Do you have any hobbies?

I’m waiting for summer so I can start Paddle Boarding.

Who is the smartest person you know?

My Dad. He is a patent-holding inventor, and his ability to think through a mechanical process is fascinating.

What is your least favorite thing about humanity?

We forget too quickly the lessons we’ve learned.

If you could talk to one person who has passed away who would you talk to and what would you say?

My father’s mother. We would walk around her yard and she would teach me about her plants. She tried to do this when I was young but I did not appreciate it at the time. I didn’t understand that she would not always be there.

If you could change history, what would you change and why?

My great grandfather is Native American. I would change how we handled settling this country

Tell me something that no one would ever guess about you?

I’m really a shy person.
